Monaro Group’s Legacy of Excellence in Batemans Bay

For over 40 years, Monaro Group has been an integral part of the Batemans Bay community, establishing itself as a leading provider of commercial cleaning and facility services. Our reach extends to servicing nearly 200 commercial sites across the ACT and surrounding areas. Operating as a Cleaning and Facility Services Company, we offer the best of both worlds – the efficiency of larger corporations and the personalised attention of a local enterprise. This distinctive approach allows us to swiftly adapt to your unique requirements, offering a level of responsiveness and flexibility that larger managed companies often struggle to match.

Our diverse client roster includes prominent law firms, medical and dental practices, educational institutions, and charitable organisations, plus, over a dozen premier commercial and industrial sites scattered throughout the ACT and its surroundings.

Organisational Structure

At Monaro Group, we prioritise proximity and accessibility in our organisational structure, as evidenced by our commercial cleaning company structure chart. Our senior decision-makers are strategically located near the sites we serve, ensuring a strong connection with our clients on a daily basis. This approach enables us to quickly and effectively respond to any unexpected challenges.

Our success is built on the belief that effective supervision and clear communication are essential for delivering exceptional service. Our team of Cleaning Supervisors plays a vital role in overseeing cleaning operations across multiple designated sites. Your assigned Cleaning Supervisor will nurture the day-to-day relationship with you and your staff, ensuring timely resolution of absences and keeping you well-informed about significant operational matters.

Effective Team Supervision Strategies

We utilise a range of methods to ensure the effective supervision of our team:

  1. Time and Attendance Tracking: Our advanced software enables us to monitor the time and attendance of our cleaning staff, ensuring they are on-site as scheduled. It also promptly notifies us in case of any absences or “no-shows.”
  2. Self-Certification: As an additional layer of oversight, our cleaners confirm the completion of their tasks and verify their work through a sign-off process.
  3. Weekly Supervision: Your designated Area Manager conducts weekly visits to assess standards, provide feedback, and deliver necessary training to cleaners as required.
  4. Monthly Quality Check: Using a Traffic Light system that generates a percentage score, the Area Manager conducts a monthly walk-through alongside you. This assessment covers all aspects of the cleaning schedule and records your level of satisfaction.
  5. Escalation Protocol: If a Monthly Quality Check score falls below a predetermined threshold, the issue is escalated to the Contracts Manager and Managing Director for a thorough investigation. A remedial action plan is then put into motion.
  6. Senior Management Review: Our Contracts Manager and Managing Director conduct a quarterly review of Monthly Quality Checks. Additionally, senior management is involved in cases where formal quarterly or six-monthly client reviews of performance against KPIs or SLAs are required.
  7. Client Feedback: We actively seek client feedback through a biannual online survey. This survey is distributed to all our clients, inviting them to provide insights on their likelihood of recommending us and offering suggestions for improvement.

At Monaro Group, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards through vigilant supervision and ongoing improvement. Your feedback is highly valued – please feel free to share your thoughts!

Managing Employee Absences

Numerous clients choose to outsource cleaning services to avoid the intricacies of organising holiday and sick leave coverage for their cleaners. With a staff numbering over 100, every Cleaning Supervisor maintains a list of backup cleaners who can be contacted, often on short notice, to maintain uninterrupted service during staff absences. Furthermore, we have mobile relief cleaners ready to provide flexible coverage. Should finding cover prove challenging, our Cleaning Supervisors step in or keep you informed about temporary staffing changes. At Monaro Group, ensuring seamless cleaning services remains a paramount concern.

General Liability Insurance

You are welcome to ask for our Certificate of Insurance, which includes extensive public liability coverage of up to $20 million.

Staff Training and Development

At Monaro Group, we prioritise the development and enhancement of our staff’s skills. Our Learning Support package encompasses options for day release and financial support to pursue relevant professional qualifications.

Diversity and inclusivity are at the heart of our workforce, with a strong commitment to promoting gender and ethnic equality. We actively seek to include Indigenous community members in our team.
